Maharani season 3 has just dropped on SonyLIV and the love is pouring in! Director Saurabh Bhave opens up on the challenges they faced – from a set with over a thousand people to shooting in cold temperatures.
Talking about the large crowds that were in the shoot, director Saurabh Bhave said, “Though I have been involved in many shoots in various capacities for over a decade, handling the crowd of 1000 people was something I had never done before. Maharani being a political show has lot of political rallies as a part of its narrative. Credit goes to the direction team to the way the crowd was handled and managed without much of a problem. Also, it was the enthusiasm of the people of Bhopal and Hoshangabad (Narmadapuram) that they stood and walked for miles in the top sun without cribbing about it.”
The team of Maharani also shot in the cold parts of Srinagar in the winter. Director Saurabh Bhave said, “The Srinagar shoot was challenging for different reasons. We had to be at ‘Char Chinari’ in Dal Lake at 6 AM, so we had to be ready by 4 AM in the morning. None of us was ready for the freezing cold temperature at 4 am in the morning. Maggie and Kashmiri Kahva kept us alive.”
