However, now some of the contestants have threaten to file a lawsuit claiming injuries such as hypothermia, nerve damage and bad working conditions which resulted in poor health and safety standards.

The British personal injury firm Express Solicitors announced on November 23 that they are representing constestants who are seeking compensation for their experience on the Netflix reality series. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, CEO Daniel Slade said in a statement, “We have sent letters of claim on behalf of contestants injured in this show. From what we’ve been told, they pushed the boundaries of safety in the name of entertainment. Production companies need to ensure that health and safety standards on their shows don’t leave people at risk of harm.”

Right now, the firm represents two contestants but is in conversation with other potential claimants. While they have taken the initial step, they are working gathering further evidence and will file lawsuit if it is needed.
